Plant Scheme

21st May - Plant Scheme Update

The Plant Scheme is well under way and many seedlings are growing well. We will have a large range of plants for you again this year and will include all those which you told us you enjoyed pre –Covid-19 such as beans, cauliflowers (including some club root resistant varieties) and tomatoes.
This is only a selected list of plants which will be available as the season moves on. Watch this space to keep up to date.

Sweet Peas and Broad Beans are now at a reduced price, so if you need to catch up on planting you can get some bargains!

We will be open during Shop hours again this year (10 am to noon Saturday and Sunday) but we will be selling plants only from the Plant Scheme plot. The shop volunteers will direct you if you are not sure how to find us.

We look forward to seeing you on the plot!

23rd March -The Plant Scheme and Coronavirus

In light of the fast moving situation and the government statement on 23 March (NEW RULES ON STAYING AT HOME AND AWAY FROM OTHERS) I am very sorry to say that I am suspending the plant scheme from today, 23 March.

We will endeavour to grow some plants in much smaller quantities than usual and which may be made available later in the growing season.

It is not worth risking anyone's health to work the scheme at this time, nor can we allow groups of people to be in the same area at the same time.

Thank you all for your custom in the past.

I look forward to the end of this unprecedented situation and seeing you all again.

 Please take care.
